What do Grannie Duck and David Bowie have in common?
The Answer is Different Coloured Eyes.
As a child I remember going to a friend for tea and her mother saying to me "Wow you have different coloured eyes!".
I remember feeling very excited and feeling it was "special" and "different". It turns out only 6 in 1000 people have this, and most of them, unlike me and David Bowie, are hardly noticeable.
It took David Bowie's sad death to give me this gift of another piece of my own jigsaw.
Apparently, according to the newspapers is is called Heterochromia iridum.
Heterochromia apparently means difference in colouration usually of the iris and is the result of an excess or lack of melanin.
Suddenly, out of the blue, I am not only Biopolar but I now have Heterochromia iridum as well!
Thank you David Bowie x
