A few years ago I realised that what made me depressed was often feeling that someone or something had made me really angry and frustrated and that I would tell everyone else except the person or organisation that had made me mad in the first place!
I just used the word "mad!"
Yes, often I would be hopping mad!
So I decided that I would start to complain.
I started with my shoe laces
After a year of wearing my boots the laces broke and I returned to the shoe manufacturer and asked them for a new pair to match my burgundy boots.
This proved an impossibility!
An impossibility that perplexed me for surely they had sold the boots with my shoe laces so they must have known where to find them?
Complaining and persisting I think I ended up with about 6 pairs of shoe laces that they miraculously managed to find.....a miracle!
Shoe laces were the start!
I found the fight painful
But like all things new there are growing pains
Yesterday I won my biggest battle with the Bank!
Months of being told I was wrong and to go away and change what I was doing
Finally led to an apology and a donation to the Charity I love and feel passionately about.
Often we are right but too scared to fight back
Often we give up
But when we persist in the belief that we know we are right the rewards are immense!
What a great way to end the year
Happy Christmas x
