I was standing at the bus stop at 7 o'clock this morning and the rain was pouring down on me! After a run of beautiful sunny days it would have been easy to feel a bit down!
But just as I was feeling cold and wet and sorry for myself a man came and joined me!
He was chatting away to himself in a way that made me think he had a mental health condition. The other people at the bus stop looked at him strangely and then looked at each other!
It was then that he switched on his music. He started playing Katie Melua really loudly. As she sang away I felt I wanted to dance in the rain. I started to tap my feet and I felt happy!
it made me think why don't they always have music at bus stops?
And more importantly, we have so much we can learn from people who have mental health problems when we can get over our stigmas towards them.
He really made my day!
