Well I have to say that I was in two minds about blogging when I was depressed, but I can honestly say it is the best thing I have ever done!
I love to write and when I am low I find that I have a lot to express but don't usually know how to get it all out and organise my thoughts.
But lying in bed, I suddenly felt that even if nobody read what I had written, at least I could express myself and put it all down on paper? (Is that the right word any more or should it be cyberspace?)
The response has been amazing. So many people have responded.
People have text me, sent me pictures, made me things and "liked" my posts.
Today, however, was the best thing ever! This photograph of a Frida Kahlo handbag by Lulu Guiness.
Frida is my all time hero.
Despite suffering incredibly painful depressions throughout her life, she went out into the world and looked beautiful!
Not beautiful in a conventional sense. But an individual sense, which is what I admire most.
She dared to be different.
But she dared to express herself fully in the way she looked, and the way that she painted as an artist.
In the time that she lived this was brave and different.
That is what this Blog has taught me. Dare to put it out there.
It might surprise you what comes back!
